Explainable AI and machine learning applied to survival analysis

The goal of this PhD consists in testing, applying and developing machine learning techniques to problems in a survival analysis setting. Focus will be placed on the explainability side of the algorithm and papers like 'Explaining the Predictions of Any Classifier' (Ribeiro et al. , 2016) will be the starting point of the research. Data will be obtained through the AI Flanders program from its Proof of Concepts.
