Organisation profile:This TG has varied but complementary research experience and geographical expertise, but shares a common interest in research and teaching on the impact of the recent wave of globalisation on development and poverty. As a whole, the TG is covering different functional dimensions of this globalization phenomenon, namely trade, (multinational) production and finance. Research is focusing on the impact of policy decisions or external shocks in the globalization field on economic development and on poverty. Some members of the TG analyse impact on the macro-level, using also cross-comparative analysis over countries, while others look at the full transmission cycle, down to household level impact.
