Follow-up panel climate and energy

• This panel is requested to monitor and evaluate in the first place to what extent the already decided climate measures as well as the measures taken up in the Flemish Energy and Climate Plan (VEKP) contribute to realising the climate goals that the Flemish Government subscribed.• Next, the goal is to investigate which concrete additional measures the next Flemish Government could take, on top of all that was already executed, decided and planned in the VEKP, to achieve even quicker progress in the frame of the fight against climate change.• The panel should also investigate what the budgetary impact is of those additional measures, as well as the social impact on citizens and companies.• The panel researches also the cost efficiency of the proposed measures, i.e. their cost (for government/citizens/companies) in relation to the greenhouse gas emission reduction that can realised with it.
