A stereo Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system for velocity measurements in liquids and gasses.

This project aims at purchasing a stereoscopic Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system to measure the flow velocity in liquids and gases. With this equipment, the PI will be able to boost his research on applied fluid mechanics. This will enable him to perform state-of-the-art measurements in fluid mechanics, which greatly increases the possibilities for participation in several research projects, both fundamental and applied. Moreover, with the state-of-the-art measurement device, several consultancy projects could be done both within the university or with industrial companies.
