Optical simulation, modeling and evaluation of 3D medical displays

The aim is to build a simulation model able to predict, by means of ray-tracing, how images that are presented on a three-dimensional display are transferred to the retina of the human visual system and to develop a human visual system model to assess the perceived image quality and a numerical observer model to assess clinical performance.
