Towards better care for Turkish migrants with type 2 diabetes

Diabetes is prevalent among patients of Turkish descent. Many patients experience difficulties with the daily intake of their diabetes medication (called U+201CadherenceU+201D). This project will organize information sessions about diabetes. During these sessions we will recruit participants for a questionnaire study about barriers and facilitators for adherence among Turkish migrants with diabetes. Based on the results of this survey, recommendations for improved care for these patients will be formulated.
