Error monitoring: attention and cognitive compnents (Foutenmonitoring)

The orienting account for post-error slowing proposes that the unexpectedness of errors leads to the typical slowing following errors. In this project we will use classical attention tasks, and behavioral as well as electrophysiological measures, to investigate if people orient to errors. We will also investigate the hypothesis that this orienting is a first step in a learning process.
