Update of the synoptic balance of NORM in the Belgian Industry (R-5506)

NuTeC performs the project "Update of the synoptic balance of NORM in the Belgian Industry" a public tender of ONDRAF/NIRAS (responsible for radioactive waste management in Belgium). The study comprises three parts. The first part provides a synthesis of the current national legislation involving NORM (naturally occurring radioactive materials). Some aspects of the Euratom basis safety standards are discussed as well. The second part is an extensive literature review, covering the management and technical aspects of NORM, aiming for re-use of NORM. The third part is an inventory of reports covering information on NORM in selected Belgian NORM companies. This third part is confidential.
