His work is focused on fluorescence-guided surgery using nanobody-based tracers. He received his education as a pharmacist (Master of Pharmacy) at the Medical University of Lodz, Poland. Before starting doctoral studies, he had completed a research program in structural biology at the University of Virginia, USA, where he used nanobodies as protein crystallization aids.
