Excitation functions of alpha-induced nuclear reactions on natural erbium

Excitation functions of the reactions Er-nat(alpha, xn)Yb-167,Yb-169 and Er-nat(alpha, x)Tm-165,Tm-167,Tm-172,Tm-173 were measured up to 38 MeV. The experimental excitation functions are compared to the theoretical calculations based on the model code ALICE-IPPE and to the data found in the literature. Yields of different production routes (proton-, deuteron- and alpha-irradiation) of Yb-169 are compared. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
