Rational multi-delay models for long interconnects

Book Contribution - Book Chapter Conference Contribution

A new method to model electrically long interconnects is proposed. The delay values are obtained in a way that does not depend on the spacing between the reflections or their magnitude using a finite sum of delayed damped complex exponentials. Once the delays are identified, delayed rational functions are used for the model generation. The method can be applied to measurement or simulation data. Simulation data is used to prove the accuracy and parsimony of the method.
