EF 47Ethical screening of technological innovations in health care: overview ofmethods, strategies and recommendations. (SWVG-EF 47)

With this research we want to obtain a clear and complete overview of the methods and strategies that can be used for the ethical screening of technological innovations in healthcare. The primary objective of this research is a systematic description of the international "state of the art" in this area (Objective 1). The results obtained from the literature study will be interpreted by the researchers in the light of applicability and feasibility. Based on these interpretations, concrete recommendations will be formulated for the development of an ethical framework / matrix for the ethical screening of technological innovations in healthcare. These recommendations (which contain the essential ingredients for the development of an ethical framework / matrix) are also tested with the stakeholders during the round table discussion (objective 2). The results of the literature study, the interpretations and recommendations of the researchers, and the comments and suggestions of the stakeholders during the round table discussion, are reported in detail (in successive chapters) in the final report (objective 3)
