Revising and Evaluating with TranslationQ

Journal Contribution - Journal Article

The autors hope to present a strong case for the use of TranslationQ in translator education. To avoid self-appraisal and - promotion, the case is made in a roudabout way, beginning with a critical reflection, centered on three key distinctions that ought to be drawn continuously in the lively debate on evaluation and assessment, viz. the distinctions between translator and translation quality, between reliability and validity, and between revision and evaluation. The critical reflection will elicit the strengths (and the soft spots) of the abovementioned software and open up new avenues for future research and translation evaluation.
