Project

Following the (VLO244) support center JOP, the Flemish Government commissioned a youth monitor to be conducted in Antwerp and Ghent. (VLO243)

In order to implement a good youth policy, one must have sound information about the world of children and young people. To collect this information, the Youth Research Platform (JOP) was established in 2003. In 2012, the interuniversity platform, with research groups from K.U.Leuven, UGent and VUB, could continue its work as a Youth Research Platform as an independently policy-relevant scientific support center. Previously, the JOP worked together within the Support Center for Policy-Related Research.
A monitor is a research where the world, living conditions and activities of children and young people are periodically shown.
