Development of poverty indicators based on administrative data for the Brussels-Capital Region (ARMOEDE INDICATOREN)

In the present research proposal, we (1) examine to what extent the existing figures used in policy reports are reliable and valid to identify the poverty situation in the BCR; (2) how administrative databases can be used to develop poverty indicators specific to the BCR that reliably describe the poverty situation in more detail (by geographic entity and by family type). We (3) pay particular attention to the replicability of our results and the continuity of the use of our results for policy purposes.
