Influence of glycemic variability on autonomic and cardiovascular function, and its modulation by postprandial exercise training in patients with diabetes type 1

Type 1 diabetes is characterized by chronic hyperglycemia and by acute glycemic fluctuations. The role of this glycemic variability (GV) in the development of diabetic complications is subject of debate. In this study we want to evaluate the impact of GV on autonomic function and vascular complications, as well as to investigate the effects of postprandial exercise on these parameters.
