Plasma4Breathing (Plasma4Breathing)

The objective of this project is (1) a proof-of-concept that can act as a plasma-activated aerosol bacterium-inactivating without breaking down the surrounding lung cells, (2) the construction of basic IP (construction demonstrator aerosol device with integrated plasma system, analysis of interaction between plasma-aerosol and composition of formed radicals, sensitivity to the various plasma and system parameters and determination of process window for selectivity of activated aerosol to bacteria in the lungs, optimization of main system parameters and required dose for maximum efficiency) and (3) the starting up a licensing process: mapping the entire development trajectory to a product consisting of a portable aerosol device with a plasma generator, and determining minimum milestone results required for the industrial parties to take on / finance the further development.
