A priest, definitively incorporated in a Society of Apostolic Life, has struggled for years with mental illness. One day, he illegitimately absents himself from his assignment and goes to live as a hermit, refusing all contact with his superiors. After this illegitimate absence has continued for six months, may he be dismissed from his institute?
