Aristotelischer Naturalismus und Religionsphilosophie

Book Contribution - Chapter

Philosophy of religion used to be an integral part of neo-Aristotelian philosophy, i.e., in thinkers such as G.E.M. Anscombe, P. Geach, or A. Kenny. By contrast, later proponents of Aristotelian naturalism such as P. Foot, R. Hursthouse, or M. Nussbaum devote much less attention to problems of religious belief and religious practice; and some of them do not even write on the topic at all. The paper examines the different approaches of the founders of Neo-Aristotelianism to the philosophy of religion and considers possible reasons for its absence in the writings of their successors.
