Introducing process technology and applications of polymer-modified mortar and concrete in construction

Compositions of polymer-modified mortar and concrete are presented, as well as the different types of polymeric modifiers or admixtures. Specific process technological aspects on mixing and curing of cement-polymer composite binders are discussed. Typical physical and mechanical properties of polymer-modified mortar and concrete are explained, in fresh as well as in hardened state, depending on type and ratio of polymer. An overview of main applications in construction industry is given.
