Culture in the Mirror is a cultural theory of Dutch cognitive scientist Barend van Heusden. The theory explains what culture is, what cultural skills people have and why education should develop those cultural skills. In Belgium, CANON Cultuurcel researches and implements theory in educational practice from the Department of Education and Training. Mirror is cultural awareness.
