Live fluorescence imaging system in environmental controlled stable conditions

Cell biological research in living cells is nowadays based on the measurement of fluorescent signals. The extensive development of fluorescent molecules makes it able to detect with great accuracy the intracellular ion concentrations and to track individual proteins during important cellular processes like migration, differentiation and tissue regeneration. The lab of Experimental Gynecology, Pediatrics and Urology of the department of Development & Regeneration perform ground-breaking research investigating the intracellular signal transduction mechanisms involved in embryo implantation, placental transport and the function and recovery of the kidneys. The research group has an urgent need for a live detection system that is able to measure fluorescent signals in living human cells in stable environmental conditions over a longer time period. This application concerns a live fluorescence imaging system under controlled extracellular conditions with easy-to-handle image acquisition and analysis software.
