Added value of cross-border valorisation of marginal land in support of a bio-based economy (NEW-C-LAND)

More than ever, the bioeconomy is seen as a way to meet Europe's climate goals and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

The bio-based economy is part of the bioeconomy and uses plant-based raw materials exclusively for materials and energy - not for food or feed.

As this economy is growing rapidly, the demand for plant-based raw materials is also rising sharply.
