Short bamboo fibres as reinforcement in additive manufacturing

Book Contribution - Book Chapter Conference Contribution

Bamboo fibres have promising mechanical properties which allows engineers to come up with a variety of applications. In this research, the potential of short bamboo fibre rienforced filaments for additive manufacturing purposes is investigated. The target is to achieve a higher stiffening effect by inducing longer fibres than the fibres available in the commercial grades. Special attention is put on improving the adhesion between fibre and matrix (PLA).
