A Nation Divided? Assessing and Analyzing Social Cohesion in South Africa

This research explores teacher diversity in quintile four and five schools, examining how diversity translates to performance in building cohesion in the classroom and the school environment. This research seeks to expand our conception of the integration process in schooling, by focusing on the organizational structure, specifically teachers to gain a richer understanding of how diverse teacher bodies build more caring classroom climates and school environments.
