Project

Epigenetic control of rice immunity hub genes

The goal of this project is to identify rice immunity hub genes through epigenomic and transcriptome analyses. This project will evaluate following hypotheses: (1) Successful pathogens modify the epigenome of their host plant; (2) Plants store information from stress encounters in their epigenome and (3) The activity of plant immunity hub genes is controlled by epigenetic modifications.
