Going All Out to Manage Migration : a Constitutional Analysis of the EU Return Policy

The research project will analyse the EU external relations in the field of migration. In particular, it will identify the various instruments used to ensure the return of irregular migrants to third countries, and assess their compatibility with EU primary law. The focus will be on the compliance of the EU return policy with the primary law provisions governing the Union's external competence; the general provisions on the EU external action; and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
