The link between hypoxia and progenitor cells during liver carcinogenesis (FWOAL689)

Every year nearly half a million patients are diagnosed with a primary liver tumor. In this research we would like to assess the influence of hypoxia (low oxygen levels) and reduced oxygen sensing on liver stem cells and how this could influence tumor development.
