Project

Remote temperature detection by optical probing (OPTIPROBE)

This project aims at exploiting the temperature dependence of thermochromic markers to extract from photoacoustic images, obtained at different pump laser wavelengths, the 3D temperature distribution in a medium.  The goal is to fully elaborate the method, and to deliver, in the physics laboratory, an experimental proof of concept of the method, i.e. to quantify the temperature sensitivity versus data acquisition time, and to assess the robustness of the analysis against influences of factors other than temperature.
