Integration and manufacturability aspects of lightweight structures exploiting inherent dynamic properties (IMALIGHT)

The IMALIGHT project will focus on leveraging the existing metamaterial technology towards industrial applications by focusing on three project goals: (i) to assess adequate cost-efficient manufacturing for developing metamaterials and tools for driving their design to ensure full exploitation of the meta-attribute, (ii) to investigate integration and interaction effects of metamaterial components in industrial environments on their performance and (iii) to demonstrate metamaterial performance on industrial use cases widening as much as possible different application fields.
