The impact of European preferential trade agreements on Flemish firms.

The European Union is actively signing new bilateral trade agreements. This research project studies the impact of diverse European free trade agreements on the Flemish economy. Special attention is paid to the impact on the export performance of Flemish firms in an international perspective. The analysis consists of a macroeconomic and a microeconomic perspective. The data used in the analysis are comparative international trade statistics for many countries at detailed levels as well as firm level data on the Flemish exporters activities.
