Project

How do you look in space?

Children are intrinsically interested in cosmography. From their own experiences they search for explanations. As a consequence, misconceptions often arise. These are described in literature, but it is hardly described how teachers have to respond to them. In this project, the conceptual understanding of teachers in the subject of cosmography will be investigated, and also their actual classroom practice will be studied. At the end, workshops will be set up to support teachers in teaching the cosmography lessons in primary and secondary school classes.
