Deposition of Thin Films of Metal-Organic Frameworks of divalent metals

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are a class of crystalline porous materials that consist of metal ion nodes connected by multitopic organic linkers. Typically, MOFs are synthesized via solvothermal methods, by combining organic linkers and metal salts in an organic solvent. The project aims at developing new synthesis methods for MOFs that avoid the use of organic solvents. Particular attention will be paid to the use of vapor phase conversion methods of inorganic precursors.
