  • Research Expertise:
    • In vivo epitope tagging in gram negative bacteria using a new type of transposon mutagenesis The sequence coding for Pseudomonas aeruginosa OprI lipoprotein, without signal peptide, was fused to the O end of a mini-Tn5 plasposon with tetracycline resistance. After conjugative transfer to Burkholderia multivorans, clones reacting with an anti-OprI mab were selected. In-frame OprI-tagged proteins were detected and identified. ESA project: identification of bacterial genes influenced by microgravity 200 Pseudomonas aeruginosa transposon mutants with an in-frame phoA fusion will be sent to space in order to detect variations in the level of expression of the reporter gene
