Novel strategies for organ sparing in patients with complete response to radiochemotherapy in locally advanced rectal cancer.

To achieve our aims we will first build an predictive profile which can be used to select those patients that are candidates for organ sparing treatment based on clinical, imaging and molecular markers assessed in the first clinical study and second we will prospectively validate this predictive profile in a clinical study in which patients undergo TME or enter a wait and see aim based on the response prediction assessed with this profile.
