Climate related social and economic chaos in the Northern and Southern Levant (1200-800 B.C.E.).

The project Climate Related Social and Economic Chaoas in the northern and southern Levant (1200-800 BC) studies an abrupt climate change in the period 1200-850 BC attested by the results of palynological, sedimentological and palaeo-ecological research. By integrating human and natural sciences the project aims at presenting an explanation model to describe the chaos and disappearance of several societies in this region during this period. The excavations at Tell Tweini provide the study material that is situated in the comparative material of the larger Levantine context.
