Project

Evaluation and perspectives. Exploration and development of the heritage community concerning academic heritage in Flanders.

This project aims to produce a first inventory of academic heritage in Flanders, as a basis for the foundation of a Flemish Interuniversity Platform for Academic Heritage. This platform will have a stimulating and advisory role in heritage policies concerning conservation and outreach. Its actions will be informed by professional expertise and with the support of a broad network of participants. The results of the project will include: (1) A complete and coherent analytical report on the contemporary situation of academic heritage at four Flemish Universities (Leuven, Ghent, Antwerp, Brussels) (2) The formation of a broad network of stakeholders, partners and experts (3) The identification and sensitization of the heritage communities concerned (4) The connection with international developments.
