Educational and skill mismatches in the Flemish youth labour market: examination of underlying mechanisms.

This project is part of the Policy Research Centre Study- and Schoolcarreers and focuses on the mechanisms underlying the mismatch between education and work in Flanders. The project is executed in collaboration with the SHERPPA research unit of Ghent University and consists of the following five research modules: What do we know about the match between education and work in Flanders? Educational and skill mismatches: What is the position of Flanders within an international perspective? What is the role of study motives in the explanation of mismatch? What is the role of job search behaviour in the explanation of mismatch and to what extent can this be influenced by the educational system? Analysis of educational and skill mismatches on the basis of the PIAAC data.
