Project

Collaborative Engineering Experiences in international teams.

Engineering Experiences (EEs) are open-ended and cross-professional projects calling for an integrated application of a wide range of technical, management and communication skills (project based learning). During the EE, students work as a member of a team, with self-defined organisation and responsibility, coached by staff members. This South Initiative aims at exploring intensive cooperation between Group T and the partner universities in Ethiopia with respect to engineering experiences. In a first work package, a common vision will be developed with respect to the boundary conditions, challenges and opportunities related to project based learning/engineering experiences tailored to the partner universities situation. The second work package comprises the creation of a framework for Engineering Experiences for multi-national student teams. The third work package covers the capacity building of Ethiopian (junior) staff members. A final work package covers a pilot run of the collaborative EEs.
