Project

Realization and interpretation of a tracer test in the Brussels Sands using multiple-point geostatistics.

The aim of this project is (1) to quantify the effect of sedimentary heterogeneity on pollutant transport in the Brussels Sands and (2) to quantify to which extent multiple-point geostatistics is an improvement compared to other geostatistics methods to predict pollutant transport in heterogeneous environments with complex geological structures. A tracer test will be executed in the Brussels Sands and will be interpreted using several different methods, including multiple-point geostatistics.
