Talent Management in the Flemish Government

The Beter Bestuurlijk Beleid reform (BBB) of the Flemish public sector has drastically changed the structure of the Flemish government. Research (Spanhove & Verhoest, 2008) indicates that some of the principles of BBB have not been carried out. Unambiguous division of responsibilities and a revaluation of coordination instruments are in that matterof great importance in the success of the BBB reform.

This project studies the critical success factors of coordination instruments that are being used for coordination within policy sectors and between policy sectors. The researcher observes the practice of coordination in and between policy sectors and focuses on the coordination instruments that are being used.

The research will be carried out through the use of indepth interviews with experts and document analysis.
