Department of International public law

Department

Lifecycle:1 Jan 1993 →  30 Sep 2014
Organisation profile:The Department of Public International Law was part of the Faculty of Law and is examining the rules for exercising public authority in the international community. It is on the basis of this right that entities exercising the public authority are granted their powers; this mainly concerns states and international organizations. Public international law also determines the legal framework within which they must exercise these powers. Public international law has a global application. Cross-border problems, such as terrorism, the environment and other matters where states are interdependent, lead to the need for closer international cooperation and further development of the international legal order.
