Virtual Space Weather Modelling Centre (VSWMC)

The Virtual Space Weather Modelling Centre (VSWMC) connects physical models of the space weather environments from the initiation of events on the Sun to their impacts in the vicinity of the Earth (in the magnetosphere, radiation belts, ionosphere, and thermosphere) to enable predictions for the benefit of end users much like weather forecasting for terrestrial weather. The user can benefit from routine runs of coupled simulations. Outputs can be interfaced with effects tools for forecasting damaging impacts on ground and space systems including human physiology. To this point, the development has included the design and development of the system, which integrates 11 major models and a number of simpler, interconnecting models.
