Logistics Hasselt University

Responsible

The research group Logistics focuses on two domains. In the first domain, planning problems in external distribution logistics are modeled by means of operations research techniques. Expertise on combinatorial optimization problems is applied to practical problem settings in freight transportation and logistics. In the second domain, simulation and optimization techniques are applied in a supply chain management context.

Department of Computer Science KU Leuven

The Department of Computer Science consists of five units. Four of these are spread across eight locations in Flanders, with the focal point in Leuven at the Arenberg Campus: Distributed and Secure Software (DistriNet), Declarative Languages and Artificial Intelligence (DTAI), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Numerical Analysis and Applied Mathematics (NUMA). The fifth unit is located at the Kulak Kortrijk Campus ...

Electrical Engineering (ESAT), Kulak Kortrijk Campus KU Leuven

Research topics of this unit are:

  • linear and multilinear algebra
  • tensor-based signal processing and data mining
  • numerical tensor algorithms
  • higher-order statistics
  • independent components analysis and blind source separation
  • harmonic analysis
  • factor analysis
  • identification
  • blind identification and equalization.

Electrical Engineering Technology (ESAT), De Nayer (Sint-Katelijne-Waver) Campus KU Leuven

The research goal is applying state-of-the-art computer vision techniques as a solution for industry-specific vision problems. In order to meet stringent execution speed, energy footprint, costand price requirements, the developed algorithms are implemented and optimized on embedded systems, such as GPUs, DSPs and FPGAs.
