The Faculty of Political and Social Sciences was established at Ghent University in 1992. Until then the Faculty was part of the Faculty of Law. The Faculty has four departments: Department of Communication Sciences, Department of Political Science, Department of Sociology, Department of Conflict and Development Studies.

This is the general faculty research group of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences.

We offer alumni, professionals and those interested in political and social science issues: professional refresher courses (long-term and short-term courses), current lectures (evening lectures), professional courses tailored to organizations and companies.

Is the contact point for faculty student administration, student counseling, program counseling, cell quality assurance education, educational innovation and contact person diversity.
