The Division of Crop Biotechnics focuses its research and education on sustainable production of agricultural and horticultural products. We employ a variety of biotechnological methodologies to perform fundamental and applied plant research. We integrate knowledge at the cellular, tissue, plant, environment and agro-systems level for both model plants and economically important crops.

Laboratory of Pediatric Immunology has two main research activities: 1) study of allergic diseases with on the one hand upper and lower airway inflammation (in close collaboration with labs of clinical immunology and pneumology) for which we study in house running murine models of allergic asthma and develop of new mouse models for non-allergic asthma, as well as translational research in patients with upper and/or lower airway inflammation ...

The research is focused on the cellular and molecular basis of immune tolerance mechanisms and failure. They study genetic basis of immune tolerance through the generation of murine models of disease and the analysis of genetic defects in patients with immune disorders. The laboratory specializes in the study of regulatory T cells, primary immunodeficiencies, diabetes and T cell development.

Molecular Biotechnology of Plants and Micro-organisms
