The Laboratory for Dystonia Research investigates dystonia pathophysiology. They predominantly focus on the molecular and cellular pathology of hereditary dystonia, but also have long-term goals of determining neurological defects and identifying therapeutic targets to treat dystonia.
Within the department, mainly clinical research will be conducted within the dental clinic. The emphasis will be on therapeutic aspects within the various disciplines (periodontology, oral implantology, restorative dentistry, orthodontics) and on the other hand patient-centered outcomes. The measurement of patient experience after therapeutic intervention is proposed as a cross-sectional research line.
